Astrid advises clients on all aspects of intellectual property and IT law. She represents companies in infringement proceedings relating to every category of IP rights, with a particular focus on trademark and design infringement proceedings, as well as unfair competition law disputes. Moreover, Astrid advises companies on their international trademark strategy and the admissibility of advertising campaigns and product labelling. She also has experience in drafting and negotiating licence agreements, in particular on trademarks, patents and know-how. Astrid advises a wide range of clients from various industries, most notably luxury and consumer goods, sanitary, foodstuffs and tobacco, as well as telecommunications, media and technology.
Another principal area of her activity is the handling of IP issues in complex M&A transactions and IPOs for clients from various industries. In recent years, Astrid has advised the following companies with respect to transactional IP issues: American & Efird Global Inc. (KPS Capital Partners) acquiring the Gütermann group, Redknee Solutions Inc. acquiring the business unit "Business Support Systems" from Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN), Advent International during the dual-track sale of Douglas to CVC Capital Partners as well as Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG during their IPO.
