Tobias advises national and international corporate clients from the communication, technology and media sector. He advises on aspects of intellectual property law, antitrust and competition law, information technology law as well as public law, especially media law.
He has a particular focus on complex litigation before civil and administrative courts as well as the European Court of Justice relating to media and internet regulation, and also represents clients in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution and in administrative proceedings. Recently he participated, i.a., in the representation of Germany's biggest cable network operator in numerous civil and administrative court proceedings against the public broadcasting companies in relation to feed-in conditions. Furthermore, he participated in representing a search engine provider before the arbitration board of the German Patent and Trademark Office as well as in various court proceedings, i.a. before the CJEU, against a collecting society and press publishers in connection with the ancillary copyright for press publishers.
He also advises in M&A transactions with a technology focus.
Tobias is the author of numerous publications on media, intellectual property and antitrust/competition law and visiting lecturer at the Free University of Berlin.
