Hendrik advises national and international corporate clients in all aspects of employment law, including individual and collective matters. He has particular expertise in the structuring, planning and implementation of personnel related projects and also provides ongoing employment law advice to clients. His principal areas of activity cover employment related reorganizations, such as measures to adjust a business or organizational structure or to reduce personnel, as well as the employment related aspects of M&A transactions. In addition, Hendrik has experience of advising companies in relation to matters concerning their management board members, managing directors and executive employees.
Recently, Hendrik has advised a Canadian listed company in relation to various reorganisation and restructuring measures at its German subsidiaries, including the closure or partial closure of business locations, as well as a construction company in relation to a comprehensive reorganisation and personnel reduction.
Hendrik is frequently involved in M&A transactions across a wide range of industries, advising on aspects of employment law. Among others, he advised KKR on the acquisition of the Defence Electronics Business from Airbus (2015/2016), Korian S.A. on the acquisition of Casa Reha-group (2015/2016), Portigon AG on the sale and transfer of all shares in Portigon Financial Services GmbH to Erste Abwicklungsanstalt, Metalsa S.A. de C.V. on the sale and transfer of the business in Witten (2015/2016), Waterland Private Equity on the acquisition of various clinics and groups of companies operating clinics, respectively (2014-2016), Redknee on the acquisition of the Orga Systems business from the insolvency administrator (2015/2016) and Bayer AG on the sale of a diabetes care business to Panasonic Health Care Holdings Co. Ltd. (2015/2016).
In addition, Hendrik has advised various DAX and MDAX-listed companies, particularly in the health and real estate sectors, concerning their management board members, managing directors and executive employees.
